Kelsey Hammond is a Brooklyn-based artist and art educator who makes colorful, work inspired by nature, girlhood, memories, and the everyday things that bring her joy. She works across painting, ceramics, and jewelry, always coming back to color, pattern, texture, and the freedom to experiment.

Her ongoing series, Egg Flowers, started when she was teaching middle school art and has become a growing world of strange, joyful, imperfect flowers, each with their own personality. Inspired by Fauvism, Pop Art, Scandinavian design and her own imaginative worlds, Hammond makes work that is meant to feel familiar and a little bit quirky.

Kelsey is currently teaching high school art full time and painting in between.
